(June 26, 2017) WOLF LAUREL, N.C. – The annual election for the Wolf Laurel Road Maintenance and Security Homeowner’s Association (WLRMS) Board of Directors is officially underway.
The WLRMS Board has nine members who are elected by property owners to serve three-year terms. Each year three members’ terms expire. WLRMS is seeking six capable property owners who are interested in standing for election for the three seats, for three-year terms.
The 2017 Nominating Committee was approved by the WLRMS Board at its June 16 monthly meeting. The committee is:

The election process and schedule is as follows:
- Petition nominees are due July 17.
- Slate of six (6) candidates must be announced by July 21.
- “Meet the Candidates” Town Hall Forum will be held on Saturday, July 22.
- Ballots will be mailed on July 26. *
- The election will be held on August 16.
- New Board members seated at August 18 monthly Board meeting.
“The Board strongly believes that to achieve the best future for our community, talented and committed leadership is crucial” said WLRMS Board member and Chair of the Election Committee, Willie Romero. “If you have an enthusiastic commitment to work toward a brighter future for our whole community, we want to hear from you.”
Community supporters who wish to stand for election to the WLRMS Board are encouraged to contact Romero at email@example.com or any other Nominating Committee member.
* Property owners who wish to pick their ballots up from the WLRMS rather than have them mailed to their permanent address on record must notify the WLRMS office prior to July 21, 2017. The ballots may be picked up at the office after July 26th.
For those who wish to serve in other ways, the WLRMS Board is always looking for people interested in serving on the various standing committees on the Board. A community of Wolf Laurel’s size requires committed engagement by the property owners to meet the community’s needs.
