Wolf Laurel Map

May 26, 2020 – WLRMS is pleased to announce a new map of the Wolf Laurel Community.

We realize GPS is not reliable on the private streets of Wolf Laurel, and cell phone reception is often spotty in parts of our community due to mountainous terrain.   Prior paper maps showed only part of the community, or only primary roads, or were not to scale.  We lacked one map of our entire road system — gate to gate with recreational sites, to guide a person through our community accurately and with sufficient detail.  We now have high quality color printed copies of the Wolf Laurel Community map. Soon we will have a convenient electronic, downloadable map posted on our website and capable of being shared or transferred to your mobile device.

Owners and property managers are encouraged to share the electronic, downloadable version with guests before their visits and everyone is encouraged to share the electronic version of the map with anyone who would like to know more about our community.

We hope the Wolf Laurel Community map will help guide guests to their destinations, to orient new owners to our community, to assist in the marketing of properties inside the gate, and to promote our community.

Our advertising sponsors information border the map.  These businesses funded the map’s development and printing costs.  Please express your appreciation to them for their support of the community map when you have the opportunity to do so.

A limited supply of printed, folded maps has been reserved for property owners who would like to have a copy.  We will begin distribution of the map today.   Owners current on assessments (other than Blue Mountain and The Ridges owners) may stop by the WLRMS office to receive one complimentary copy of the folded map.  Additional copies of the map are available for $5.  All proceeds of the sale of maps will be used to offset the cost of the next reprinting of the map.

Residents of Blue Mountain, including The Lodges, The Cottages, Overlook Village, Chestnut Village, and Eagles Nest Villas and of The Ridges, at the request of your homeowners association will receive a folded copy of the map in the mail with the notice of your annual meeting.

If you will excuse the pun, development of our community map has been a long road. To have the map we needed, WLRMS had to create one.  Map making is an art form that requires long hours of detail work in design and development.  Last fall WLRMS displayed a beta version of the Wolf Laurel Community Map in the WLRMS office, the POA Community Building and the Wolf Laurel County club for your comments and suggested edits.  In the intervening months the map committee has made more than 100 edits, sold 34 ads and worked out many printing details to create a useful tool for all Wolf Laurel property owners and guests.

Finally, we would like to recognize the members of our community who have volunteered their time and talents to make the map happen:  Katie Childress, Gayle Barr, Sam Stebbins, Cammie Monroe, Carl Larrabe and Lloyd Parker.

The online version of the map is accessible by clicking the QR code below or scanning the code from any smart phone or tablet with a QR scanning app installed.
